About me
I was born on February 6th 1965 in Ostend, Belgium. It happened to be my mother’s birthday. She was expected to deliver on February 14th, but because a caesarean was necessary she opted to choose her birthday as my birthday. I don’t know what would have been the better. Would it have been an advantage being born on Valentine’s Day ? Although my father died at an early age when I was three, I had a nice childhood. No brothers and sisters, just my mother & me and we got along well.
When I was 18 I moved to Brussels to study interpreting (Modern Greek and English). However, I never worked as an interpreter. Media was my main interest and so I started working for television. I am currently channel manager for Een, the first channel of VRT. I also teach Media context & Television management @ RITS.
I spend a lot of time working, but have many other interests. Reading books, newspapers, magazines, … and whatever can be read. Other interests : food (cooking & restaurant), culture, Brussels and antiques.I now live in Brussels, happily with my partner.
